A list broker needs to become an extension of your marketing team because first and foremost, a broker's function is to find lists that perform well for your offer at an acceptable cost.

We begin our relationships with our clients by asking pertinent questions to build a profile of their good customers. The more we know, the better equipped we are to find prospects who fit the image of the existing customers.

Once armed with this information, we research and recommend individual lists or databases which provide prospects that fit hand-in-glove with the product or service our client is offering.

We rely not only on our "in house" list database when performing our research activities but also subscribe to outside list databases to ensure that our account executives have immediate access to everything that is available in the marketplace.

Once lists are selected, the next crucial step is segmentation. Taking what we've learned from our clients regarding their good customers, we provide segmentation suggestions to tailor a list so that the names we select profile prospects who not only have an interest in what our clients purvey but can afford to purchase and do purchase by mail.

We don't offer "cookie cutter" recommendations here at NAI. Even when we are working on multiple clients in a particular marketplace, we know one size does not fit all and we tailor our recommendations on a one-to-one level.

After we have identified winning lists, the battle is not over. We need to keep abreast of response levels and costs so that these good lists will remain good - and affordable - on a continuous basis. If price adjustments are needed, we are skilled in negotiating better terms for our clients. If segmentation needs changing or tightening up, we will provide suggestions when and where needed.

We can also assist our clients who have need for these services:

• Circulation Planning
• Consulting
• Customer Retention and Reactivation Strategies
• Merge/Purge Strategies
• Negotiations
• Program Cost Analysis
• Research
• Response Analysis
• Segmentation Strategies
